Well, honestly I really don't care if Andhra Pradesh is split or is united, that is because all I care is about HYDERABAD. Now, I have to justify my stand....
(a) We should never forget that "Unity is Strength"(Telugulo: "Aikamatyamey Mahabalam".) We can make progress if we are united. But should this progress come at the expense of others?
(b) Now if someone says that language should be the basis of a state, I don't agree. In that case, most of the N.India should be under one state like Bihar, UP, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Delhi, Jharkand, MP. That is not the case right? So I don't see anything wrong in case of having multiple states for the same language.
(c) But first of all, my humble request for all the politicians and people (we) who are debating on this issue of division and unity. One State or Two States is it ok, if one of our fellow citizens is under developed and others developed?
(d) I wonder, the people who are demanding a separate state have any agenda / plan for development. If the separatists had any idea of development. What are they going to do after the state is carved out? If a state or multiple states, at the end of day it should make a difference to the common man, if it doesn't what is the point?
(e) For those who are talking about unity of the state. How many of the leaders speaking of unity are looking for a solution to develop Telangana region, as popularly known why 610 GO is not implemented? Are these people thinking beyond Hyderabad and their investments in HYD? What will be the way forward for those who feel oppressed if we are united?
(f)Now since I am a native of Hyderabad, I really don't care if Hyd is in Telangana / AP / UT. Wonder why can't we have Hyderabad similar to Chandigarh,as capital of two states / three states and as a U.T.
(g) People and leaders, lets not forget we are all INDIANS first. One State / Two States / UT, no one can stop us from living where we are living right now,not even a Thackery or KCR. We are free to live wherever we want in INDIA.
(h)I think the division of states based on language is restricting us to the regional feelings. The regional feeling is taking priority over the feeling of INDIAN NATION. We should all realise, even before we are a Telugu,Tamilian,Kannadiga,Marathi,Andhrite,Mumbaikar or a Hyderabadi, we are ALL INDIANS FIRST.
Unless we develop the feeling of Nationalism above Regionalism, we will be seeing this kind of issues raising often.
Jai Hind.
